Vice Minister Qu Dongyu holds work meeting with Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food

Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met Mr. Vassil Groudev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Bulgaria, in Beijing on Oct. 28, 2015. The two sides conducted consultations on strengthening bilateral agricultural cooperation and other issues of common interests.
Vice Minister Qu noted that China and Bulgaria enjoy steady and healthy development in bilateral relations and fruitful cooperation in economy and trade since the establishment of diplomatic ties 66 years ago. Bilateral agricultural cooperation has been advancing steadily.
To further the bilateral agricultural cooperation in the future, Qu put forward the following suggestions: (1) give full play to the bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation mechanisms, the Association for the Promotion of Agricultural Cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs) and China-Bulgaria Agricultural Cooperation Working Group in particular, to promote practical bilateral cooperation in agriculture; (2) promote cooperation in agricultural S&T; (3) further advance bilateral cooperation in agri-business investment; and (4) make good use of the China-CEE Agro-trade & Economic Cooperation Forum and agricultural expos in China and Bulgaria to promote the steady growth in agricultural trade.
Mr. Groudev fully agreed with Mr. Qu on his suggestions. He expressed the willingness of Bulgaria to further intensify agricultural cooperation with China.
